Senior Fees Modelling Lead
to join our
Planning and Performance
team within the
Corporate
group.
This is a
full-time
opportunity, on a
permanent
basis. The role will be based in 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf London, E14 4PU. Please be aware that this role can only be worked in the UK and not overseas.
Government departments and agencies are working towards implementing a minimum 60% attendance in office sites.
We are currently implementing a flexible, hybrid way of working, with a minimum of 8 days per month working on site to enable the collaboration and contact with partners and stakeholders needed to deliver MHRA business. Attendance on site is driven by business needs so depending on the nature of the role, this can flex up to 12 days a month, with the remainder of time worked either remotely or in the office. Some roles will need to be on site more regularly.
Who are we?
The Corporate Group covers Finance, Commercial, HR and Infrastructure and Laboratory Services. We deliver core corporate functions that support the wider agency deliver its public health and regulatory activities as effectively and efficiently as possible.
This post sits in the Planning and Performance Team in Finance. We are responsible for developing the agency's fee strategy and statutory fee uplifts; reporting on business performance measures and encouraging a high-performance culture; and ensuring the agency's fees continue to cover our costs to secure finance sustainability both short and long term.

- Strong analytical skills, able to deal with large volumes of complex data; create clear visual, tabular and summary reports that distil insight for senior leadership.
- Independent, proactive and excellent at project planning and management, the ability to plan, set up and run projects and balance competing priorities and working with others easily.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for variety of audiences; able to write papers for senior leaders in non-technical language; good eye for detail / quality control.
- Must have demonstratable or proven financial modelling and forecasting, analytical experience to confidently create and provide costing analysis and insight for senior stakeholders to support decision making (Essential Criteria).
- A good understanding of the HMT's Managing Public Money guidance and principles on fees and charges is invaluable.

Alongside your salary of £60,778, Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency contributes £17,607 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme. Find out what benefits a Civil Service Pension provides.
