Financial Markets Middle Office department cooperates with Head Office to conduct market, credit, operational risk monitoring and reporting of London Trading Centre and Global Financial Markets (GFM) in Bank of China (BOC) London Branch and Bank of China (UK) Limited, and other overseas branches to meet the relevant policies and requirements in respect of risk framework establishment and implementation.

As an Associate Trade Processing - Mandarin Speaking, you will carry out trade processing for the Bank's London Trading Centre, Financial Markets and EMEA branches. You will be responsible for booking trades in the Bank's internal systems and related compliance monitoring. This is a 12 months fixed term contract position.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out booking of trades into relevant systems in a timely and accurate manner
  • Cooperate with Head Office in the global trade processing integration scheme
  • Prepare MI reports
  • Cross backup for other team members as arranged
  • Assist in the approval of hard blocked transactions
  • Other tasks as assigned by Head of Department
  • During some public holidays on a rotating basis the shift is between 7:30am to 5pm or 5pm to 12am to cover the UK/US/China markets open/closure time

Requirements

  • Degree educated preferably in Finance, Accounting or Business
  • Proven track record in a similar role
  • Understanding of financial instruments within wholesale markets is a plus
  • Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office particularly in the use of Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Highly organised
