About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of People to cover a 12 month maternity leave with time either side for handover. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for the full spectrum of HR activities across the business.

You will report to the Chief People Officer and partner closely with the European Leadership Team, playing a key role in delivering our people strategy. As a member of the Leadership Team, you will be responsible for driving the people agenda across our Bristol, Belfast, and London offices – ensuring consistency, alignment and local relevance in how we support and develop our people. You'll work closely with the Head of People for APAC to ensure our people initiatives remain globally connected and cohesive.

Key Responsibilities

Core Continuity

  • Operational HR Oversight: Oversee all HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and policies.
  • Policy & Process: Maintain and improve HR policies, procedures, and systems to ensure efficiency, compliance, and scalability.
  • Mental Health, Wellbeing & Inclusion: Work closely with teams to lead and embed our mental health and wellbeing, and diversity and inclusion agendas across the region.
  • Team Management: Line manage the Office Co-ordinator and provide guidance and alignment to the Talent Specialist based in South Africa in co-ordination with the CPO
  • Business Partnering: Act as a trusted advisor to the European Leadership Team, providing guidance on workforce planning, performance, and engagement.
  • Culture & Engagement: Champion initiatives that promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.

Strategic / Project input

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Lead and execute the people strategy in alignment with business goals, ensuring a proactive and forward-thinking approach to talent, culture, and employee experience.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and support key people projects across the business.

About You

  • Proven experience in a senior HR role within a professional services environment
  • Able to step into an established people strategy and maintain momentum while ensuring smooth transition back post-maternity
  • Comfortable delivering quickly in a fixed-term capacity, with a focus on continuity, relationship building and maintaining standards
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business needs into people solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels.
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to get involved in day-to-day HR operations
  • Experience in line management and working across geographies
  • Willing and able to travel across European offices as required (anticipated monthly or quarterly depending on business needs)
