Banking & Cyber experience is a must.

Cybersecurity is responsible for enabling businesses and functions to manage their information security risks as well as ensuring risk and controls are assessed and implemented appropriately, objectively, and independently through professional and specialized subject matter experts.

The Cybersecurity Operations and Intelligence function team is responsible for detecting any anomalous behaviour within the global estate conducting a rapid triage of the information provided to determine is a treat is present. Containment of the initial identified threats will take place, and the matter is handed over to the incident response team for broader and more in-depth investigation to ensure all avenues of attack have been accounted for and the adversary has been repelled.

Job Description

The Senior Business Analyst will work within the Cybersecurity Operations and Intelligence team to drive delivery of a Target Operating Model (TOM), support the strategic direction of Cyber Operations and analyse, estimate, design, document, test, implement new system development and to assist in delivery of system enhancements.

This role will co-ordinate with business representatives and delivery teams and encourage best practices in the development of technical solutions thereby ensuring delivery of qualitative and cost-efficient system solutions on time to exceed internal customer satisfaction.

The role requires the Business Analyst to articulate Cyber programme's strategy and objectives and assess how it will impact the business. The role will report directly to the Head of Cybersecurity Operations Programme delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with key business stakeholders to define the Operations TOM, clear business outcomes
  • Capture business / technical requirements and ensure these remain traceable throughout the delivery of the initiative.
  • Ensure effective quality assurance of build against the business requirement.
  • Develop and support business case submissions / expected business value.
  • Attend various governance forums and provide programme insight to the ExCo and Steering Committee.
  • Reporting to business leaders and stakeholder.
  • Articulate and capture risk and dependencies between programmes and functions/teams etc.
  • Support junior Business Analysts.

Standard Responsibilities

  • Define project requirements.
  • Produce and deliver user test plans with clear alignment to the business / technical requirements.
  • Manage required HSBC governance processes to support system delivery and operational processes (e.g., External Hosting Committees and Data Visa)
  • Produce updated operational processes to support new features and tooling.
  • Contribute to and agree business transition plans including handover criteria, ensuring all delivery expectation are meet before handing final activities to BAU.

Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience

Experience / Technical Skill Set Required

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Business / Solution Analyst, gathering requirements and defining IT solutions within projects
  • Experience producing Target Operating Models / Strategies
  • Strong experience with writing Use Cases, User Stories and Acceptance Test scenarios OR Strong usability requirements analysis, process maps
  • Experience with Agile (ideally Scrum or SAFe).
  • Strong analytical, documentation and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Takes complete ownership of delivery of front to back complex functional changes.
  • Maintain strong relations with business stakeholders.
  • Removes blockers and creates pathways during times of uncertainty to ensure resilience.
  • Strong experience of MS Office (typically; Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and JIRA/Confluence (or similar).
  • Experience in technology delivery in a complex organisation
  • Experience in business requirements definition and testing
  • Delivery of business process documentation
  • Excellent planning and reporting skills

Soft Skill Required

  • A
    bility to work in fast paced environment and ever-changing priorities and having extremely flexible to manage workload.
  • Able to support aggressive delivery timelines without compromising on quality.
  • Work with different stakeholders (HSBC Vendors, Project Manager, ITSO & ITSO Delegates, Support teams) & resolve all technical queries in timely manner.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal (English)
  • Facilitate escalations to senior management
