Our client, a respected and growing accountancy firm, is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior
to join their friendly and forward-thinking team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who enjoys working closely with clients, managing varied workloads, and taking ownership of assignments from start to finish.
The successful candidate will work with a diverse portfolio of SME clients across a range of sectors, providing high-quality accounting, financial reporting, and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members and providing coaching where needed
- Managing client relationships and ensuring deadlines are met
- Supporting clients with queries on accounting and financial matters
- Assisting with VAT returns, management accounts, and ad-hoc advisory work
- Liaising with managers and partners to ensure high-quality delivery across all engagements
About the Candidate
- ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification (or qualified by experience)
- Proven experience in an accountancy practice environment
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive, detail-focused approach and genuine interest in helping clients succeed
