The Role

As Senior Audit Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the successful delivery of audit services across a diverse and engaging portfolio. Working closely with Partners, you will lead audit teams, nurture client relationships, and maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a 100% audit-focused portfolio, including OMBs, SMEs, and larger businesses
  • Leading audits from planning through to completion, ensuring full regulatory compliance
  • Reviewing audit files and financial statements prepared under UK GAAP
  • Acting as a main point of contact for clients, providing expert technical guidance and commercial insight
  • Supporting Partners with business development and identifying opportunities to add value
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing audit staff to support their professional growth
  • Enhancing efficiency and quality within the audit function through continuous improvement initiatives

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), with significant post-qualification experience
  • Strong in end-to-end audit management, with in-depth knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards
  • Confident in managing client relationships and delivering clear, pragmatic advice
  • A proven leader with experience supervising, motivating, and developing teams
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to spot opportunities for growth and added value
  • Highly organised, adaptable, and an excellent communicator
