Price Ferguson Ltd is seeking a Senior IFA administrator to join our growing team. This opportunity has arisen due to the continued expansion of the business leading to the creation of a new position.
As our business group continues to grow over the years ahead, we are looking for someone to join the team and support the delivery of our service to our clients. This will be a varied and rewarding role where you will be supporting Paraplanners and Financial advisers within the business in delivery high quality, compliant advice to clients.
Working Hours: 9am to 5pm, fully office based
Salary: £34k-£38k, dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities
The role will encompass multiple areas of support within the business – we expect the candidate to engage in administrative (60%), paraplanning (20%) and work quality checking (20%) duties in their day-to-day work and have direct experience in doing so from their current and previous job roles.
Administration:
· Working closely with Financial Planners & Support Team to deliver excellent client service.
· A point of contact for clients on behalf of the Financial Planners, being able to communicate effectively, clearly and pro-actively.
· Maintaining back-office systems and client records.
· Processing all business in line with processes and procedures, collating AML documentation as required.
· Prepare documentation, valuations, and reports for client meetings.
· Process account applications, transfers, and new business submissions and service existing business which could include policy changes, fund switches and withdrawals.
· Liaise with product providers and third parties to obtain information and manage client requests.
Paraplanning:
· Draft detailed and robust suitability reports using provided tools, across a range of advice areas.
· Conduct technical research on existing and recommended products, including fund analysis where necessary.
· Ensure all compliance, internal documents, and provider paperwork are completed accurately and stored in the back-office system.
· Collaborate with Financial Advisers to discuss client objectives and gather any additional information required to prepare suitability reports.
Work Quality Checking:
· Regularly reviewing workflows for the administration team to ensure processes are being adhered to.
· Support the Administration Manager in ongoing support for the team.
· Periodically check work being completed through regular and spot checks on admin staff.
· Provide ongoing feedback to Admin Manager on work quality and actively address any correlations and training needs.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 5 years of IFA administration experience within the Financial Planning industry, directly supporting Financial Advisers.
- Level 4 diploma qualified, or working towards qualification.
- Expert knowledge and understanding of the Financial Planning sector (Pensions & Investments).
- Experience using industry related tools such as Financial Platforms to produce illustrations etc.
- Proficiency in desktop applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Deep understanding of Intelligent Office or similar back-office systems.
- Attention to detail, with strong written and verbal communication.
- Experience as a senior member of the team and comfortable checking other people's work.
