Role: Multi-Skilled Operator – Biffa Teesside

Salary: £15.05 per hour / approx. £31,500 per annum (based on 40.25 hrs per week over the year)

Location: Biffa Teesside

Working Pattern:

  • 4 days on / 4 days off (days)
  • 4 nights on / 4 nights off (nights)
  • Monday to Sunday rotation

Shift Times:

  • Days: 07:00 – 19:00
  • Nights: 19:00 – 07:00
  • Shift allowance applies
  • Immediate starts available – no previous waste management experience required

This is a hands-on position where your contribution makes a real difference to operations. Full training will be provided, with opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career within Biffa.

Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor machinery, including a forklift (training provided), to a safe and satisfactory standard
  • Communicate any problems or obstacles to your immediate supervisor
  • Strive to reduce waste and increase productivity across all lines
  • Support your shift colleagues in achieving excellence in health and safety, product quality, asset performance, and employee engagement
