We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused HR & Recruitment officer to join our team. You will provide essential administrative support to the Employee Relations Manager and the wider management team, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the HR function.

-Provide generalist HR administrative support to the Employee Relations Manager and the wider HR team, contributing to the effective day-to-day running of our HR function.

-Assist in providing a high-quality HR service to staff, ensuring all advice and support is delivered in line with our policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

-Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records within our HR systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality at all times.

-Lead on our Single Central Register database ensuring full compliance and reporting to the senior management team weekly on updates and risks.

Skills:

  • (HCC) Ability to communicate clearly, appropriately and effectively in a range of situations including meetings, on a one-to-one with individuals and on the telephone. Essential
  • (HCC) Ability to plan, manage and prioritise own workloads and those of others, meeting tight deadlines and ensuring performance targets are met. Essential
  • (HCC) Ability to take meeting minutes/action notes and reproduce accurate records of meetings. Essential
  • (HCC) Good working knowledge of HR, Finance, Procurement, IT, Information Governance and Facilities polices and processes and sources of information used in updating and developing such polices. Essential
  • (HCC) Has a breadth and depth of experience/knowledge within the HR environment Essential
  • (HCC) Policies, procedures and processes for HR and Business Support in order to advise and inform others Essential
  • A Good Understanding Of The Role Hr Plays Within A Council Beginner
  • Ability to offer practical HR advice Beginner
  • Assist in the recruitment of staff as required Beginner
  • Experience of providing administrative and technical support for a range of HR and Recruitment functions including less complex employment casework, employee life cycle, recruitment Essential

Qualifications/Certifications

  • NVQ Level 3 - Business Administration or equivalent
  • Evidence of continuing professional development in line with CIPD competence map demonstrates competence level 2-3 on the professional map.
