London, Greater London, United Kingdom Neon Full time £50,000 - £80,000 per year

About Neon
Neon is a global payments and e-commerce platform designed to help game publishers earn more money and independence from app stores. We believe commerce should be open and transparent: clear decisions, actionable insights, and aligned incentives. Founded by payments, fintech and gaming veterans, Neon focuses on product and partnership excellence: we share the playbook, co-pilot decisions, and abstract away risk and complexity for our customers. We're replacing old-school, black-box relics with clear, modern, and developer-centric infrastructure.

As an early team member, you'll have the opportunity to shape and scale Neon's product and culture, making a direct impact on our growth and success. You'll join a collaborative, diverse team from world-class companies like Apple, Affirm, Unity, and Visa, backed by renowned VC's including Thrive, a16z, Griffin Gaming, Ribbit, and Renegade. If you want to build disruptive technology, challenge the status quo, and help game creators thrive on their own terms, read on.

The Role

The Payment Operations Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day execution of Neon Pay's payments operations. You'll manage dispute resolution, fraud investigation, and transaction performance tracking — providing the data and insights that fuel our payment optimization and risk strategies.

This is a hands-on operational role that sits within the Payments function, working closely with product managers and partners to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Manage dispute and chargeback processes from intake to resolution.
  • Conduct fraud investigations and escalate patterns to product and risk leads.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics such as authorization rates, decline reasons, and fraud losses.
  • Support reporting and KPI tracking for payment optimization and risk performance.
  • Document workflows, maintain compliance standards, and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and external partners to strengthen operations and data accuracy.

What You'll Bring

  • 3–5 years' experience in payments operations, fraud/risk operations, or financial services.
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with data dashboards and performance reporting tools.
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and proactive in identifying inefficiencies.
  • Strong communicator, able to work effectively across product, operations, and external teams.
