General Services Manager

Job Title: General Services Manager (Edgewing)

Location: Reading area. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. Due to the nature of this assignment, we envisage there will be a need for mostly on site working, however, flexible working arrangements may be possible – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.

Salary: £63900+

What you'll be doing

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the General Services team, managing Edgewing documentation, business continuity processes, and acting as the key interface with the GIGO on all facilityrelated matters
• Manage third-party vendors and service contracts, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective service delivery, supporting SLA setup/monitoring, renewals, and GIGO contract procedures
• Own general services budgets, tracking and optimising expenditure, and managing procurement, installation and maintenance of office infrastructure, equipment, and furniture
• Coordinate facility management needs, collating and prioritising Edgewing requirements, working with the GIGO on implementation, office layout changes, workspace allocation, and space utilisation reporting
• Lead accommodation and workspace planning, assessing demand vs supply, managing moves, and ensuring shared areas (meeting rooms, lounges, break spaces) are efficiently maintained with the GIGO team
• Maintain compliance and safety standards, partnering with SHE and Digital teams to support safe working environments, including PAT testing, DSE/non-standard equipment management, and infrastructure upkeep
• Oversee business continuity and documentation management, defining processes, ensuring standardised document controls (master data, numbering, templates), and participating in crisis response and facility recovery planning
• Manage office operations and logistics, ensuring visitor registration and security compliance, maintaining office supplies/equipment, and arranging company logistics such as parking and bus services
