We're expanding our team at Restaurant Interlude – and this is your chance to join one of the most exciting kitchens in the UK.

Led by Chef Jean Delport, recent finalist on BBC Two's Great British Menu and one of only two chefs in the show's history to have two dishes selected for the Banquet, Interlude offers an opportunity to work at the cutting edge of modern British cuisine.

We're looking for a Senior Chef de Partie or Sous Chef with fine dining or Michelin-level experience who is eager to grow, create, and be part of a visionary team.

About Interlude & Jean Delport

Chef Jean brought his distinctive style from South Africa to the UK, earning a Michelin star within a year of opening and a Green Michelin Star for sustainability in 2023. His cooking is rooted in foraging, hyper-seasonality, and estate-grown produce — all set within the stunning Leonardslee Gardens estate in West Sussex.

At Interlude, foraging is not just a culinary technique; it's a philosophy shared across the entire kitchen team. Chefs head out into the woodlands, gardens, and grounds to hand-pick ingredients — from wild herbs and edible flowers to mushrooms and berries — all of which inspire the ever-evolving tasting menu. This hands-on connection to the land fosters creativity, respect for the seasons, and a deep commitment to sustainability that defines everything the team does.
