Are you interested in working and exploring the opportunities in Logistics supporting the RAF and MOD?

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Logistics team as a Logistics Operative. You will play a vital role in the logistical support of the Royal Air Force, helping to fulfil its operational and peacetime obligations. Within this physically demanding role, you will be responsible for the distribution, handling and stock control of materials, helping to sustain a modern Whole Force team. You will work alongside Serco and RAF colleagues to achieve the daily operational output within the storage and warehouse areas as well as within an office environment and out delivering stock around the base.

Main accountabilities:

Issues and Receipts to unit SectionsReceipts from external Contractors and unit SectionsGeneral HousekeepingStorekeeping and day to day management of stockOperation of Material Handling Equipment (CB forklifts)

What you'll need to do the role:

Full UK Cat C1 driving licenceColour perception test for driving on the airfieldExperience in a Supply Chain or Logistics environment.Must be a team player with a focus on delivering excellent customer serviceBasic IT skills would be an advantageForklift licence (Desirable but not essential as training will be provided)Ability to obtain SC security clearance 

This role also requires flexibility to attend off site training when required/ be able to attend, and pass, training on or off site.

Due to the nature of this role, all candidates will have to pass SC Vetting as part of their onboarding and provide a pass for a colour perception test before appointment.
