We are part of the Express Engineering Group who employ more than 300 employees across the two companies, Express Engineering (Gateshead) and Express Engineering (Fabrications) (trading as QA Weld Tech).
We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist / Programmer (Fanuc) to join our team.
To be successful in this CNC Machinist (Fanuc) role at Express Engineering, you will be:
- A time served CNC machinist with experience of programming, operating and setting Fanuc CNC systems.
- Experienced working in a CNC Machining / Industrial Engineering environment
- Experienced in programming and operating Fanuc CNC machines to produce product of the required quality standards and specification.
- Have an understanding of tolerances, geometric tolerances, and surface finishes.
- Have the ability to use measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers, plug gauges, screw plugs and ring gauges.
- Be familiar with a wide range of materials including Non-Ferrous, Aluminium, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium.
In addition to skills and experience, we are seeking candidates with:
- A can-do attitude, working well with others in a team environment.
- A flexible approach to the work environment, willing to work overtime when required to meet customer requirements.
- A willingness to increase your knowledge and train on other machining processes.
- Open to sharing your knowledge and experience to train others.
As with all positions, due to the nature and varying demands of our business, the responsibilities and tasks are not limited to this overview and may change to meet future demands.
You will be working over a number of shift patterns including night shift which attracts an allowance of 29.25% of basic rate per hour. Overtime is paid at time and half.
