The Opportunity
: Asset Care Lead Engineer (Northwich/Bread - Days)

Job Purpose:
Plan and coordinate Engineering support to the Northwich site across 24/7. enabling the Engineering team to provide the required levels of service in support of the manufacturing strategy. To ensure the safe, effective and efficient running of the department is maintained through the engineering shift teams. To ensure daily workloads are prioritised and delivered in compliance to site policies and procedures.

What You Will Contribute

  • Co-ordinate and prioritise the activities of all day's engineering team in providing preventative/proactive support to the operations team as a first state.
  • Monitor the delivery and completion of PMs and other equipment inspections as directed from the Asset Care Managers utilising the CMMS system
  • Stock control booking out spares, to ensure stock levels are known and recorded
  • Operate as senior engineering point of contact whilst delivering all the asset care activities on your shift
  • Participate in Improvement Groups e.g. wastage reduction.
  • Complete a clear and comprehensive communication line to the Asset Care Engineering Managers to uphold a preventative/proactive and predictive maintenance strategy.
  • Delivery of all shutdown PM activity as defined by the Asset Care Engineering Managers to contain pareto operational downtime and contribute constructive feedback to advance the PM programme.
  • Ensure all engineering reactive/proactive activity and all parts used must be captured within the CMMS systems

What You Will Bring

  • A fully qualified and experienced Engineer (preferably multiskilled) with at least 5 years' experience
  • Trained to 18th Edition Electrical Regulations (desirable).
  • Proven proactive man management skills, Teamworking, Problem Solving, Bias for action, can do attitude, focus on positive outcomes
  • Experienced in leading a team
  • Experience of managing shift engineering activities, provide service to Manufacturing.
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to coach and support others.
