Role Overview

As Head of Finance, you will sit on the Senior Leadership Team and be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the company's finances. This includes overseeing all financial planning, reporting, and compliance functions, as well as driving commercial performance, pricing strategy, and new revenue opportunities. You will act as a key advisor to the Managing Director and play a pivotal role in scaling the business through international retail expansion, online channels, and consider mergers/acquisitions where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, P&L oversight, and risk management.
  • Manage and improve financial controls, policies, and systems across the business.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly board packs and investor updates.
  • Lead on audits, tax filings, and compliance with UK and international regulations.
  • Manage relationships with banks, accountants, and external stakeholders.
  • Partner with the MD and Head of Marketing to guide profitable revenue growth across e-commerce, retail, and wholesale channels.
  • Develop and track commercial KPIs and performance dashboards to support decision-making.
  • Oversee pricing strategy and margin management across product lines.
  • Model and evaluate new business initiatives, product launches, and market expansion plans.
  • Lead on financial modelling and business case development for strategic projects such as M&A.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with 3+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Proven track record in a finance leadership role, ideally within retail, e-commerce, or luxury goods.
  • Strong business acumen with experience driving top-line growth and improving margins.
  • Highly analytical, with the ability to translate data into strategic insight.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with a collaborative, hands-on approach.
  • Experience in scaling a fast-growing business is a distinct advantage.
