Description
With a client base including Anglian Water, @one Alliance, IWS Highways England, tRIIO and British Sugar, Claret Civil Engineering, a part of the Network Plus Group, is synonymous with the highest standards of Health and Safety, quality, service and flexibility, with an established track record for delivering our projects on program and within budget.
We are looking for a HSEQ Advisor to join our busy team in Bury St Edmunds. You will be providing specialist advice in all areas of safety, enabling managers, employees, and partner contractors to comply with all aspects of Anglian Water's Construction Health, Safety and Environmental Policies, Procedures and Practices to create an efficient and safe place to work.
As this role will be regional, there will be a requirement to travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate expert, timely (reactive and proactive), cost-effective and practicable advice and guidance to managers and employees on safety and environmental matters to comply with legal and moral health and safety and environmental standards.
- Support and influence front line site managers and staff to make sure that they understand and adhere to CDM and consistent with current legislation and industry best practice.
- Monitor compliance with Anglian Water & Alliance procedures in the workplace and review safety and environmental performance.
- Keep up to date with relevant legislation and current developments/trends in the field.
- Provide support and visibility for the HSEQ team, ensuring lessons are learned and successes are celebrated by working in a collaborative environment.
Experience and Qualifications
- NEBOSH General (as a minimum), NEBOSH Construction Desirable.
- Proven CDM experience/knowledge.
- Experience interpreting and applying Health & Safety legislation in an operational business.
- Proven experience of conducting or supporting incident/near miss investigations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- Excellent collaborative skills.
- Working with stakeholders at all levels.
