Residential Conveyancing Team Leader | Lead & Grow a Thriving Team
Salary: c.£38,000 - £48,000 + Bonus

About the Role
As Residential Conveyancing Team Leader, you'll be at the heart of our client's property department, managing and developing a busy team whilst handling your own varied caseload. This dual role offers the perfect balance between leadership and technical conveyancing work, allowing you to utilise your full skill set.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading and developing the residential conveyancing team, providing guidance, supervision, and mentorship
- Managing your own caseload of residential property matters from instruction to completion
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, referrers, and introducers
- Driving business development initiatives to grow the department's client base
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and firm policies
- Implementing best practices and improving team processes and efficiency
- Monitoring team performance and conducting regular file reviews
- Sale and purchase transactions (freehold and leasehold)
- New-build developments
- Re-mortgage transactions
- Equity release matters
- Transfer of equity
- Unregistered and registered land transactions
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in residential conveyancing within a UK law firm
- Proven team management or supervisory experience – you must have successfully led or managed conveyancers previously
- Strong technical knowledge across all aspects of residential property law
- Excellent file management skills with the ability to handle a varied caseload independently
- Experience using case management systems (ideally but not essential: Case Manager, Proclaim, or similar)
- Outstanding business development and networking abilities – you should be comfortable building referral relationships
- Strong compliance awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision whilst supporting your team
- CILEX, CLC, or solicitor qualification (though not essential for the right candidate)
- Established referral network or client following
- Experience implementing process improvements or training initiatives

Location & Working Arrangements
- Location: Leicester (easily accessible with parking available)
