Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in a care home setting or within home care environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to follow care plans effectively, ensuring the well-being and comfort of our clients. This role requires a commitment to delivering exceptional care while fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Support clients in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client status.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring safe transport.
  • Utilise IT systems for documenting care activities and managing schedules efficiently.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to caregiving.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Familiarity with care plans and the ability to follow them accurately is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients as needed.

Pay: £12.21-£12.82 per hour
