An Outstanding Mixed school in Enfield is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher for a permanent, full-time position commencing in September. The successful Art Teacher will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to explore their artistic talents and develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Art Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a variety of artistic disciplines.
  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE Art and Design examinations, fostering their creative and technical skills.
  • Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive studio environment where students feel encouraged to experiment and express themselves artistically.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in art, providing thoughtful and constructive feedback as an Art Teacher.
  • Contribute to the development of the art curriculum and the creation of enriching learning experiences.
  • Encourage student participation in extracurricular art clubs and school-wide creative projects.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Art and Design.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching Art at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4).
  • A strong and comprehensive knowledge of diverse art forms, techniques, and historical contexts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring creativity as an Art Teacher.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the varied learning needs and artistic abilities of students.
  • A commitment to collaborative work and a supportive ethos within the arts department.
