Cabana is the home of the mighty flame-grilled Spicy Malagueta Chicken Our restaurants are Latin American inspired known for fabulous grills and cocktails delivered in a vibrant, buzzing atmosphere

We are ideally looking for an Commis Chef who:

  • Deliver our core focus; To lift people's spirits & create memorable experiences

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items under the guidance of senior chefs

  • Ensure the highest standards of food hygiene and safety are maintained at all times

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace

  • Support with stock management and stock control

  • Participate in daily kitchen operations, including prep work, cooking, and plating

  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy periods

  • Monitor food stock levels and report any shortages or issues promptly

  • Assist in the receiving and proper storage of deliveries, ensuring quality and freshness

  • Take responsibility for specific sections of the kitchen, ensuring consistency and quality

  • Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste and optimize cost efficiency.

  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any maintenance needs.

  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of presentation and taste

  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of kitchen operations, including temperature logs and cleaning schedules.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations at all times

  • Are available full time and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and most holidays

  • Have a good personality and a positive and enthusiastic attitude

  • Is consistent and reliable and an excellent team player
