Shrewsbury SY HS, United Kingdom Severn Hospice Full time £30,000 - £40,000 per year

At Severn Hospice, caring is at the heart of everything we do, and that includes caring for our volunteers and staff.

With more than 1,000 volunteers supporting almost every area of the hospice, from fundraising and retail to patient and family support, our volunteers are at the very core of what makes Severn Hospice so special.

We're looking for a highly motivated and approachable Volunteer Manager to lead all aspects of volunteering; developing our volunteering strategy, championing the volunteer experience and ensuring Severn Hospice is the preferred choice for volunteering across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid-Wales.

As a key member of our People Services team, you'll oversee the recruitment, training, engagement and retention of volunteers, working closely with managers across all departments to ensure volunteers are supported, valued and well matched to roles where they can thrive.

You'll also be instrumental in promoting Severn Hospice as a place to volunteer, building relationships with partner organisations, schools and businesses to attract a diverse range of new volunteers. With your creativity and leadership, you'll help us grow our volunteer community and strengthen our culture of compassion, inclusion and belonging.

A confident communicator and natural relationship builder, you'll inspire others and bring people together, whether you're supporting a manager, welcoming a new volunteer or representing the hospice at community events. Your ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on delivery will ensure volunteers have an exceptional experience from first contact to long-term involvement where every volunteer feels recognised, supported and proud to be part of our team.

If you're well-organised and passionate about people and you want to make a real difference in a caring, supportive and rewarding environment, we'd love to hear from you.

The Company has experienced unprecedented growth over the past few years. We have a vast number of employees, and provide support to clients from all over the country.
