Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety standards. Responsibilities

  • Assist with meal preparation and food assembly in accordance with established recipes and standards
  • Support cooking activities under supervision, ensuring timely and efficient service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
  • Help with the storage of ingredients and supplies, including proper labelling and rotation
  • Serve food to customers or staff as required, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
  • Assist in cleaning dishes, cookware, and kitchen appliances after use
  • Support the team during busy service periods by preparing ingredients or performing auxiliary tasks as needed

Requirements

  • Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • Basic culinary skills such as meal preparation and food handling
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work well within a team
  • Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food service
  • Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if necessary
