Early Years SEND Officer – 18 hours
Are you an experienced Early Years practitioner with a passion for supporting children with SEND? We're looking for someone just like you to join our dynamic Area SENCO team in a permanent role that offers flexibility, purpose, and professional growth. In this dynamic role you will be instrumental in making a difference for children with SEND.

About The Role
As a SEND officer, you will play a decisive role in planning and delivering training to early years practitioners from early identification to SENCO level three accredited training. You will also attend setting to discuss their overall approach to supporting children with SEND, identifying strengths and areas to develop. You will provide advice and guidance for individual children as requested by practitioners.

Through the role, you will coach and mentor early years practitioners, helping them build practice and enhance their inclusive practice. Promoting child-centred interventions that are creative and support learning and development. Champion a solution focused mindset, embracing new ideas and approaches to improve outcomes.

About The Candidate
To be successful in this role you will have a degree in either Early years, Education or health and social care. Extensive knowledge of key legislation such as Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND code of practice. You will have proven experience in working with or teaching young children with SEND, implementing a variety of interventions to support children to achieve their potential.

We are seeking someone who shows a deep passion for working with children with SEND and inclusive education. You will be a collaborative team player with strong communication and coaching skills and someone who is curious, reflective and always looking to improve practice.
