Overhaul Manager

Ashford

£80,000 per annum

Your new role

• Oversee all material deliverables associated with overhaul & projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and delivery schedules.
• Manage supplier relationships, focusing on quality assurance, performance management, and timely issue resolution.
• Ensure all supplier activities align with project timelines and operational requirements.
• Manage all Class 395 overhaul and heavy maintenance activities
• Maintain compliance with company policies and the Health & Safety at Work Act across all departmental activities.
• Support the creation and implementation of a Competency Management System (CMS) for overhaul and heavy maintenance activities.
• Serve as the key liaison with customers regarding fleet performance and contractual requirements.
• Manage departmental budgets through effective resource planning and cost control.
• Drive team development, including training, competency building, and succession planning.
• Support the Contract Manager in identifying and developing commercial and business opportunities.

About you

• M & E HNC or served engineering apprenticeship
• Extensive experience working within a rail maintenance environment.
• Sound knowledge of, and compliance to, UK and European railway rules regulations and industry standards.
• Proven experience in people management in an operational environment.
