About this opportunity:

Are you a specialist in Real Estate finance, ready to make a real impact in your local business community?

As a Business Development Manager in our Intermediaries team, you'll be part of Lloyds Banking Group's Business & Commercial Banking division, focused on acquiring new SME clients through broker relationships. You'll work with businesses typically turning over between £3 million and £25 million, delivering tailored funding solutions and promoting our real estate banking expertise.

This role relies on your strong grasp of banking, particularly real estate market dynamics, for success. You'll be the face of the bank to brokers and professionals, helping them navigate complex funding needs and championing our proposition in the market.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build and manage a portfolio of brokers, identifying new opportunities and promoting our real estate banking solutions.

  • Deliver creative funding strategies in the Residential and Commercial Investment Term lending market

  • Write high-quality credit proposals and ensure compliance with conduct risk standards.

  • Represent the bank through digital advocacy and professional social media.

  • Collaborate across teams to bring the full breadth of Lloyds Banking Group to your clients.

Why Lloyds Banking Group?

We're not just another bank. We're transforming the way we serve our 26 million customers by investing in our people, data and technology. Join us and you'll be part of a modern, inclusive organisation that's shaping finance as a force for good.

What you'll need:

  • Proven experience in banking, with a strong understanding of SME and real estate sector funding.

  • A track record of acquiring new clients through broker and professional networks.

  • Specialist credit knowledge and the ability to tailor funding solutions to complex needs.

  • A growth mindset and enthusiasm for adopting digital tools that improve client experience.

  • Strong ethics and integrity, representing the bank with professionalism across all interactions.

About working for us:

Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms. We want our people to feel that they belong and can be their best, regardless of background, identity or culture.

We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer initiative. And it's why we especially welcome applications from under-represented groups.

We're disability confident. So, if you'd like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%

  • An annual performance-related bonus

  • Share schemes including free shares

  • Lifestyle benefits such as discounted shopping

  • 30 days' holiday, with bank holidays on top

  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies

Ready to grow with purpose?

If you're excited by the thought of joining our team and making a difference in healthcare banking, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today

At Lloyds Banking Group, we're driven by a clear purpose; to help Britain prosper. Across the Group, our colleagues are focused on making a difference to customers, businesses and communities. With us you'll have a key role to play in shaping the financial services of the future, whilst the scale and reach of our Group means you'll have many opportunities to learn, grow and develop.

We keep your data safe. So, we'll only ever ask you to provide confidential or sensitive information once you have formally been invited along to an interview or accepted a verbal offer to join us which is when we run our background checks.  We'll always explain what we need and why, with any request coming from a trusted Lloyds Banking Group person.
