Role Outline:

The Logistics Operative is responsible for ensuring that the finished products are wrapped and loaded onto the vehicles safely and securely.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 14:00pm – 22:00pm (37.5 hours per week).

Hourly Rate:

The hourly rate of £14.08 per hour includes a shift premium of £6.50 which is paid after completion of 7.5 hours work on this shift. This hourly rate also includes a discretionary bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wrap frames to the Company's required standards.
  • Bay out wrapped frames (into correct loads).
  • Use the Rotoplat wrapping machine safely to wrap foils and coloured frames.
  • Update the map board with the correct load locations.
  • Check off of loads using load sheets.
  • Track frames through the system by using computerised systems.
  • Safely stack and secure loads on vehicles.
  • Safely handle and stack glass onto vehicles.
  • Check off ancillaries accurately.
  • Sign off of load sheets (upon completion).
  • Load containers, including the use of a circular saw to cut and fit wooden bracing.
  • Ensure that the work environment is kept clean and tidy.
  • Report any concerns to management immediately.

  • Ability to work to follow reasonable instructions and meet tight deadlines (accurately and quickly).
  • Confident team player, prepared to be flexible to meet both team and shift requirements.
  • Ability to communicate clearly at all levels.
  • Flexible (to meet the reasonable needs of the shift).
