Nursery Team Leader

Walton-on-Thames - KT12 5NS

We are currently seeking someone who is passionate about childcare to join our team of staff as a Nursery Team Leader. Our staff are essential to the smooth running of our nurseries and are valued members of the team; you will build relationships with children and parents and be involved fully in nursery life.

Salary from £33,280 per annum

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the EYFS is implemented and followed throughout the team to an exemplary standard
  • Providing day-to-day leadership and management for the team and staff across the nursery as required
  • Being involved in the recruitment of staff, including but not limited to, shortlisting, interviewing and observing safer recruitment practices
  • Assisting in the effective use of social media and other marketing activities as required
  • Fulfilling the role of key person to an exemplary standard, providing a positive role model for team members
  • Having lots of fun

  • Suitable qualifications: an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS, and the ability to refer to the EYFS Framework when planning activities
  • To be aware of the role of planning, observation and keeping records when caring for nursery aged children
  • Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and meeting their needs
  • A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check
