Job Summary:

*Candidate note: This role is located on the Isle of Man and applicants must either be a resident or hold a work permit at time of appointment to take up the role*
Additional Information:
This service is a day center and only operations between the hours on 9-3.30pm , Monday to Friday, including bank holidays.
This service is closed for 2 weeks during the Christmas period.

About The Role
Key Accountabilities:
- Support and empower individuals to develop or improve independent living skills as identified in person-centred plans, which may include assistance with domestic, social skills, and personal care.
- Collaborate closely with Team Leaders and managers to prepare and implement individual and group support programs.
- Work with other Support Workers and Team Leaders to promote a safe working and living environment, effectively resolving conflicts or challenging behaviors using appropriate techniques and language.
- Ensure that medication is stored and administered according to Praxis Care's Medication Policy when necessary.
- Familiarize yourself with all administrative requirements of the service, accurately recording and logging important information per reporting guidelines.
- Stay informed about all policies and procedures within the service (including Health & Safety), ensuring participation in all related training.
Requirements of the Role:
- Participate in the company appraisal and staff review process.
- Full valid driving license and access to own vehicle (If a disability precludes an individual from holding a driver's license, they should state how they can meet the mobility requirement of the post).
- Model the company values, behaviors, and competencies at all times.
- Carry out all duties in accordance with Praxis expectations, regulations, and policies.
- Be willing to take on additional responsibilities and duties as required.
- Work necessary hours to meet the needs of the service.
The above-mentioned duties are not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to carry out other duties as necessary. It should be noted that stated duties or locations associated with the post may change to meet the future needs of the organisation.

- Numeracy and literacy skills.
