What You Will Do

  • The Marketing Data Analyst will enable faster and more effective decision making for the bank whilst supporting the delivery of direct marketing campaigns, via:

  • Driving data-driven marketing with accessible and impactful insights

  • Developing, deploying and applying data solutions to enhance marketing performance and customer engagement

  • Source, refine, and supply of customer data for campaign leads to power effective direct marketing initiatives

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including data scientists, engineers, IT and CRM to ensure the structure of data supports delivery of marketing campaigns
  • Grow our addressable customer base and improve the quality of customer data to enable personalisation, effective targeting and valuable business insights
  • Utilise marketing analytics and data visualisation skills to provide insights that drive decision making
  • Support marketing campaign planning and optimization initiatives by providing segmentation, data insights and performance tracking.
  • Lead marketing effectiveness measurement, working with brand and performance teams to run incrementality testing, understand campaign profitability and customer lifetime value
  • Create, own and maintain marketing KPI dashboards and as required build in PowerBI
  • Monitor marketing data and data processes, tools, infrastructure and technology for compliance and ensure processes are well documented and embedded with risk controls in place eg: GDPR, PECR
  • Be the advocate for data governance and best practice for the Brand and Marketing team

What You Will Need

  • Ability to distil complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive business decisions
  • Ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving to deliver innovative solutions
  • Commercial acumen in translating numbers into practical business impact
  • Able to work proactively and independently, addressing ambiguity with a flexible and forward-thinking approach
  • Good communicator with ability to explain data visualisations and adapt presentation style to all levels of stakeholders across a business
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of marketing analytics concepts such as segmentation, attribution models and various measurement strategies
  • Knowledge and experience of data modelling, with an understanding of marketing requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of using data standardization, data cleansing, data integration, data matching, alignment, survivorship techniques APIs etc
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and technology landscape (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM systems, ad platforms) is a plus
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate SQL or equivalent (or demonstrable work experience if not certified)
  • Proficiency in the use of programming language SQL (Python a bonus) to perform complex data analysis and manipulation in Snowflake
  • Proficient use of analytical tooling e.g. PowerBI, Alteryx, Tableau
