Human Resources Administrator and Personal Assistant

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Human Resources Administrator & Personal Assistant to provide confidential support to the Director and manage day-to-day HR administration. This is a varied role combining administrative excellence with HR responsibilities, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality administrative and organisational support to the Director.
- Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Oversee HR administration, including personnel files, training, and absence records.
- Support recruitment: draft job adverts, arrange interviews, issue contracts and offer letters.
- Coordinate onboarding and probation reviews for new starters.
- Monitor and schedule mandatory staff training.
- Prepare HR correspondence (letters, variations, references).
- Advise staff and managers on routine HR queries.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Minimum 2 years' office experience.
- CIPD Level 3 in HR Practice (or working towards) OR equivalent HR admin experience.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and self-management skills.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within the South West.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting senior managers or directors.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
