Role Summary
Reporting to: Health & Safety Manager
Contract type: Permanent
Job Type: Full time, Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week
We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven Health & Safety Coordinator to support our commitment to operational excellence and employee wellbeing. This is a hands-on team player role for someone with Health and Safety experience, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can engage confidently across all departments.
You will help to embed a positive Health & Safety culture throughout the business, implement and monitor robust safety systems, and deliver practical support and training to staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs, policies, and our latest cloud-based safety management platform (Evotix).
- Coordinate and monitor safe working systems and processes.
- Promote a visible and positive health & safety culture.
- Assist in investigating near miss incidents with a view on capturing the root cause and introducing improvements to prevent re-occurrence.
- Ensure contractors working on site are competent, inducted and have RAMS applicable to the identified task.
- Be involved in all aspects of the daily health and safety on site to assist in functionality of facilities via safety walks, inspections, conversations, managing contractors, maintaining records and admin duties, etc.
Personal Specification:
Qualifications & Training
- Working towards or achieved IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
Experience
- Proven experience and understanding of Health & Safety, ideally within a fast-paced operational or industrial environment (essential)
- Comfortable working in the detail with a data-driven approach to monitoring, reporting, and risk assessment (essential)
- Familiarity with data capture tools and cloud-based safety platforms such as Evotix or similar (desirable)

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently across various functions
- A practical, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
