Our busy cafe in Headingley is looking for a skilled cook to join our team. You will be responsible for taking orders and looking after the customers

NOTE THIS OPPORTUNITY IS ONLY ON WEEKENDS

Responsibilities:

  • Cook - all the routine items of a English cafe (sandwiches, full breakfasts, wraps, jacket potatoes, paninis etc.)
  • Take orders
  • Make coffe (Barista experience is desirable - further training will be provided)
  • Serve the food to the customers
  • Clean the table after the service
  • Ensure the front house area where the customers are served are clean and tidy all the time
  • Work closely with the other kitchen staff to ensure high quality of service to the customers
  • Have a friendly approach to the customers
  • Have a very good spoken english - a UK native is preferred for this role
  • Handle difficult situation if encountered in a positive manner
  • Managing inventory and ordering supplies

Requirements

  • Previous experience of working in a cafe or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of traditional English breakfast dishes and recipes
  • Excellent commuinication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good attitude to the task at hand and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
  • Certification in food safety and hygiene is preferred
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
