Join a leading, award-winning architectural practice shaping Scotland's built environment. Our client, with multiple offices and a reputation for design excellence and technical precision, is seeking a talented Senior Architect to join their expanding team. The role will be primarily based in their Central Glasgow studio, conveniently close to Charing Cross Station. Architects based in Edinburgh are also encouraged to apply given the practice's wide-ranging projects across both cities.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Architect who thrives on bringing buildings to life and has proven experience across all RIBA Stages. You will lead on the technical delivery of projects, initially focusing on high-quality residential developments, with opportunities to work on bespoke homes, commercial offices, complex refurbishments, new builds as well as specialist defence and MOD schemes. Project values typically range from £5m–£30m, with involvement in landmark developments of £120m+.
Beyond the projects themselves, you'll join a collaborative and creative team where innovation, professional development, and design excellence are actively supported. This role is ideal for an ambitious architect eager to make a tangible impact while advancing their career within a respected practice.
Senior Architect Job Overview
- Lead and manage projects through all RIBA stages, helping to lead a small design team
- Over see & produce high-quality technical drawings using Revit on a daily basis
- Work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors, maintaining strong communication and design intent throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, with potential to mentor and lead junior staff
- Prepare and present design proposals
- Lead and work well in a project team to deliver detailed designs
Senior Architect Job Requirements
- ARB-registered Architect
- Strong experience across all Stages and ability to lead a team
- Experience in Revit is highly preferred
- Proven ability to lead projects independently and in collaboration with a team
- Experience in residential, commercial, and/or MOD projects is desirable but not essential
- Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills
- Live within a commutable distance of Edinburgh or Glasgow
Senior Architect Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging between, £45,000 to £50,000 DOE
