In-House Legal Associate or Senior Associate (Transaction Management).
London, Competitive Salary.
We are working on behalf of a global financial services firm who are looking for someone at an Associate level to join their in-house legal team. Ideally suited to someone who has perhaps between 2 years PQE and 5 years PQE.
The role is very much a transactional biased position, covering a broad mix of deals across various sectors and asset classes.
We anticipate prospective candidates will have experience working in-house, in a financial services firm or bank, or perhaps early stages in private practice and looking to move in-house.
The overall role is to provide accurate, timely and commercial legal advice to the various stakeholders across the firm and take responsibility for negotiation, transaction management and deal execution.
- Negotiation, transaction management and deal execution for real estate transactions, corporate, aviation, shipping, infrastructure, securitization, etc.).
- Reviewing, negotiation, transaction management and deal execution for those transactions where we have not instructed external counsel.
- Providing legal advice to front line business units and service areas.
- Reviewing and negotiating loan documentation and other ancillary.
- Liaising with stakeholders and instructing and liaising with external counsel.
- Responsibility for providing advice on general legal matters and commercial contracts (including drafting servicing agreements, NDA's, terms of business and engagement letters).
- Supporting the business with respect to a range of internal initiatives, including client development, and writing the occasional article and maintaining and updating precedents and other internal documentation.
Who we are looking to engage with:
- Transactional legal experience.
- Ideally but not essential would be having experience of working in house.
- European language skills beneficial however certainly not essential.
