Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and creative Braider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hairstyling, particularly braiding techniques, and possess excellent customer service skills. This role involves working in a dynamic salon environment where professionalism, attention to detail, and a friendly demeanour are essential. The Braider will be responsible for creating beautiful, intricate braids while ensuring clients feel comfortable and valued throughout their visit.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of braiding styles tailored to client preferences, including classic, French, Dutch, and intricate designs
• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering styling advice
• Maintain a clean and organised work station in accordance with health and safety standards
• Manage appointment schedules efficiently, ensuring timely service delivery
• Upsell additional services such as eyelash extensions, aftercare, or hair treatments to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
• Mentor junior team members when required, sharing expertise in braiding techniques and customer care
• Handle front desk duties including greeting clients, managing bookings, and processing payments with professionalism

Skills

• Proven experience in store management or salon management is advantageous
• Strong barbering skills are a plus, demonstrating versatility in hairstyling techniques
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Proficiency in customer service with the ability to build rapport and retain clients
• Ability to upsell services tactfully to maximise client satisfaction and business growth
• Mentoring skills to support the development of junior staff members
• Organised with strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality styling standards and efficient appointment flow

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm, Zero hours contract

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to £25,920.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
