London, Greater London, United Kingdom Resonance Full time £28,000 - £30,000 per year

Studio Coordinator

Fixed Term – 12 months (Full-time)

Salary:
 £28,000 – £30,000 (depending on experience)

Location:
 Resonance Studio, Southwark, SE1

Start date:
 5 January 2026

Purpose of the Role

To keep Resonance FM & Resonance Extra's studios running smoothly, creatively, and sustainably — ensuring our volunteer community can produce work to the highest standards while strengthening the organisation's long-term resilience. This is a hands-on operational role for someone who combines technical and organisational confidence with a practical commercial mindset.

Key Outcomes

  • Studios, systems, and facilities are reliable, efficient, and welcoming for all users.
  • Volunteers and programme-makers receive timely, professional support and training.
  • Data on studio use, volunteer participation, and income activity is well managed, accurate, and regularly reviewed.
  • New earned-income opportunities are developed and delivered in line with Resonance's mission.
  • Processes and systems improve access, equity, and inclusion across our broadcasting community.
  • The role evolves with the organisation, helping embed self-sustaining ways of working across a small, collaborative team.

Role Context

This post, supported by
The National Lottery Community Fund
, using funding raised by National Lottery players, was created in response to community feedback calling for stronger coordination, technical support, and clearer routes into creative broadcasting. It sits at the centre of Resonance's operations — linking people, spaces, and systems to keep the station both artistically ambitious and financially sustainable. All Resonance employees play a part in enhancing the organisation's creativity and financial strength, and in finding practical ways to make access more equitable.

About You

You're resourceful, commercially aware, and unafraid to get stuck in.

You enjoy making complex systems run smoothly and can switch easily between technical detail and big-picture planning.

You can interpret data, spot patterns, and turn information into better decisions.

You take ownership of tasks, communicate clearly, and bring a sense of purpose and care to every interaction.

Experience in broadcast, sound, or creative-technical environments will be an advantage — as will confidence managing bookings, budgets, or client relationships.

Values and Behaviours

  • Resourceful:
You find solutions and take initiative when things get busy.
  • Commercially minded:
You look for opportunities to generate value and sustainability.
  • Data-driven:
You maintain accurate records and use information to improve decisions.
  • Collaborative:
You work constructively within a small, committed team.
  • Equitable:
You help make our studios accessible and welcoming to people of all backgrounds.

Working Hours

The post is full-time and based at our Southwark studios. Core hours are usually 10 a.m - 6 p.m, and time off in lieu is provided for agreed additional hours. Because Resonance operates around the clock, some early-morning, evening, or weekend work will occasionally be required to support broadcasts and events..

Equity and Inclusion

Resonance FM is a small team serving a wide and diverse community of broadcasters. We particularly welcome applications from women, people from the global majority, disabled people, and those currently under-represented in technical and production roles within the audio sector.
