We're working with a leading Consulting firm seeking an Automation Engineer to join a greenfield engagement, helping a client establish automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines from scratch.

The priority here is for someone to support in building out the automation capability using Playwright. You must have prior experience here and be confident using either Javascript or Typescript. As you'll be the primary Automation Engineer deployed here, this level of experience is vital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build robust automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript or Javascript)
  • Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines, ideally within Azure DevOps
  • Collaborate with client development and QA teams to embed automation throughout delivery
  • Contribute to testing and deployment within cloud environments (preferably Azure)
  • Champion automation best practices in a consulting-led, greenfield setting

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong background in test automation for web applications
  • Proficiency with Playwright
  • Solid programming experience in Javascript OR Typescript
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps pipelines and version control
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Self-starter who thrives in a remote, fast-paced consulting environment

Package:

  • £50,000 FTC (3 months initially, good chance of this extending or moving to permanent)
  • Fully Remote (UK only)
  • Immediate start
  • Opportunity to build automation from the ground up on a high-impact project
