Overview

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Contract Manager to oversee and coordinate contractual agreements within our organisation. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing construction projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong management, negotiation, and project management skills to contribute to the successful delivery of complex projects.

Role will be heading up a £12 million pound contract with a team of Project Manager, QS, Health and Safety and planner in a re clad of a 30,000m2 Kalzip roof and 8000 m2 Euroclad on the walls split into7 phases

The candidate would be expected to drive the programme ,quality and health and safety and attend meetings with the client on site

This is a blue chip client in the Nuclear industry ,they need to have a traceable history with drug and alcohol tests carried out

A clear DBS is required before an interview

There is a potential 10 year pipeline of work on this one site for the right individual.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure favourable terms and compliance with legal and organisational standards.
  • Oversee the execution of contracts across multiple projects, particularly within the construction sector.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth project progression and resolve contractual issues promptly.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables using tools such as Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Lead negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure advantageous agreements.
  • Maintain organised records of all contractual documentation and correspondence.
  • Ensure adherence to organisational policies, legal requirements, and health & safety standards throughout project lifecycles.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members involved in contract administration and project management activities.
  • Utilise excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Drive continuous improvement in contract management processes through effective organisation and time management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in management, negotiation, and project management within the construction industry or related fields.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and specialised tools such as Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—to facilitate clear negotiations and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
  • Sound knowledge of IT systems relevant to contract administration and project tracking.
  • Valid driving licence for site visits or meetings as required.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under tight deadlines. This role is ideal for a dedicated professional seeking a challenging position that combines strategic management with operational oversight in a dynamic environment.
