We are looking for someone who can lead our Cafe staff by example, being a mentor and a team player to the employees. This role is the ideal opportunity for hospitality professionals looking to progress their career. Your day-to-day:

  • To assist with the management of all aspects of the running of the Cafe: preparing the weekly rota, opening and closing the shop, operating the till, maintaining stock levels, dealing with complaints, completing all relevant procedures, ordering, preparing and serving drinks and food
  • To organise all areas front of house into daily, weekly and periodic cleaning standards to achieve the highest levels of presentation at all times.
  • To organise daily procedures for set up of all waiting stations, pass counter, bar areas, dining areas and for close down and to plan staff to take responsibility
  • To provide direct line management support, training and supervision to staff members
  • To not only be a good leader but also a key team player who can communicate well with clients, visitors and colleagues.
  • To lead by example, creating a nice working environment where all staff members are empowered to give feedback and to challenge the status quo
  • You will be well organized, with excellent attention to detail and take great pride in overall customer experience.
  • To provide the highest level of customer service in a busy environment, and make sure that the same level of customer service is offered from the staff.
  • To report any problems to the Cafe Manager and/or General Manager
  • To ensure a high level of health and safety, cleanliness and food hygiene and to ensure that safe working practices are followed
  • To make sure that food and drinks are prepared and served consistently to the highest quality possible, according to Aromi's standards, and to make sure customers are satisfied
  • To adhere to existing working practices, methods, procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems
