Summary
The Maintenance and Facility Manager at Mobile Water Solutions is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of both equipment and facilities. This role requires a strategic approach to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and efficiency of rental equipment and the physical premises. The Maintenance and Facility Manager will lead a team of maintenance technicians and collaborate with other departments to maintain a high standard of quality across all aspects of the rental business. Job Responsibilities
Asset Management

  • Supervise the completion of maintenance schedules to ensure the mobile fleet and where applicable the regeneration station is in a state of readiness and operable condition.
  • Manage asset roadworthiness and ensure secure, fit-for-storage conditions at the depot.
  • Implement and oversee freeze protection measures for stored units.
  • Manage legal compliance and ensure all statutory requirements are met.
  • Maintain documentation for compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Verify compliance of all relevant paperwork, including method statements and risk assessments.

Mobilisation

  • Support the operations manager to ensure timely dispatch of Mobile Water Solutions equipment and ancillaries in the required condition.
  • Monitor the fleet in and out, ensuring units are both operable and ready for re-deployment.

Service Management

  • Support the field operations team to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.

Procurement

  • Identify and procure consumables and equipment required for maintenance and operations.
  • Maintain adequate stocks of essential spares and consumables through appropriate systems.
  • Monitor and control maintenance-related and facility expenses to stay within budgetary constraints.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety and quality.

Facility Maintenance and Operation

  • Dependent on the region, operate and maintain the resin regeneration facility, ensuring consistent completion of the regeneration process with the required quality.
  • Implement preventive maintenance measures to ensure facility efficiency.

Quality Assurance

  • Assist in developing systems and procedures for Mobile Water Solutions.
  • Provide adequate auditing, particularly of on-site activities, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Adhere to and enforce procedures outlined within the quality system.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure all assets are kept in a safe condition, including fire extinguishers and first aid kits.
  • Develop and enforce risk assessments for the deployment of mobile assets.
  • Ensure sub-contractors are H&S approved and operate according to plans.
  • Conduct regular H&S meeting in line with the company's objectives.

Loading and Unloading Operations

  • Efficiently supervise the loading and unloading of trucks, ensuring timely and accurate handling.
  • Follow established procedures for safe and secure loading and unloading operations.

Quotation Development

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates for "special" mobile projects.
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Documentation

  • Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of equipment maintenance and repairs, including service reports, parts replacements, and work performed.
  • Generate reports on equipment and facility performance, maintenance costs, and requirements.

Inventory Management

  • Monitoring the inventory of rental equipment, ordering spare parts when needed, and coordinating with suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in equipment maintenance and facility management, preferably in the rental or water treatment industry.
  • Proven experience with relevant regulations and safety standards
  • Budget management and cost control experience
  • Previous experience in supervising the team of Technicians or Assistants.
  • Experience and proven capability to work across cultures, borders, and different methods of executing business within an international team.
