Apple's worldwide communications team informs the world about our innovative products and services, and the values that drive everything we do. Areas of work include Public Relations, Corporate Events, Employee Communications, and Buzz Marketing. The team includes professionals with backgrounds in public relations, journalism, social media, writing and buzz marketing. We're looking for trailblazing, collaborative professionals from a variety of creative fields.

We are currently seeking a PR Manager for our communications team. The successful candidate will be responsible for proactive managing activity with media and content creators that drives understanding and awareness of Apple's Values.

Description

This role will help devise and execute communications initiatives that resonate with a European audience. Responsibilities include the planning and execution of PR activities to drive understanding and increase visibility of Apple's Values. The successful candidate will help manage media activities in this region, collaborate with the wider PR team to craft integrated product and Values storytelling. The role requires a deep understanding and the ability to dive deep into our markets to identify new and creative ways to reach influencing voices and share the Apple story to improve coverage of Apple Values.

This is a maternity cover contract.

Preferred Qualifications

You are passionate about consumer technology, public relations, culture, and enjoy building relationship networks with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds.

Experience in media relations and have developed a network of media contacts in creative, tech, design and cultural platforms.

Creative and critical thinking abilities.

Successfully delivered creative PR campaigns that have created meaningful impact.

Self-motivated, possess a positive team-player attitude and passionate about consumer technology. Self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills and detailed project management skills.

The ability to work with ambiguity and on complex topics, skilled in multi-tasking, delivering under tight timelines, adapting quickly to change.

Effectively builds formal and informal relationship networks inside and outside the organization.

Develops and delivers effective communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

Analyses complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.

Understands internal and external stakeholder requirements, expectations, and needs.

Minimum Qualifications

6+ years experience in public relations, journalism, PR agency or corporate settings.

Experience in working with content creators and media and a deep understanding of how people consume news and create opinions across social and traditional media.

Ability to travel regularly.
