We're looking for a seasoned
Logistics Manager
to lead operations at our busy
Crewe Distribution Centre
. This is a pivotal role for someone with deep expertise in
transport and logistics
, ideally gained in a
unionised environment
. You'll be responsible for driving operational excellence, managing complex transport networks, and leading teams with confidence and clarity.

Salary:
Up to £66,000 per annum

37.5 hours per week

What You'll Do

• You will plan and deliver all operations transport activities through your team of Transport Shift Manager, to ensure the required level of service is provided
• Effectively motivate, manage and inspire your team to develop and grow the skills of their team
• Drive Continuous Improvement within the operation
• Provide inspirational leadership to your team and work in partnership with M&S & our customers to ensure productivity, accuracy and cost targets are met and exceeded

Who You Are

• Experience of working in a large, complex transport function - ideally within temperature controlled/FMCG distribution
• CPC Licence
• Union Experience
• A passion for encouraging teamwork, with an innovative approach to leadership
• Excellent customer relationship-building skills
• Strong commercial awareness
• An analytical mindset with a good understanding of reporting and recording performance statistics
• Relevant transport management systems knowledge
• Flexibility to work within a fast-paced 24/7 business
