Role overview

SEN Sports Community CIC is looking for a reliable and proactive Club Supervisor to oversee our inclusive sports sessions for children with special educational needs and disabilities. This person will act as the main point of contact on the day supporting coaches, greeting parents, ensuring safeguarding and operational standards are met, and reporting back to management.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in community sports, SEND provision, or operations management.

Key responsibilities

  • Travel between venues and arrive early to check setup and readiness.
  • Take the register and ensure all children are safely signed in/out.
  • Support the coaches in maintaining structure, engagement, and safety.
  • Handle parent queries or issues calmly and professionally on the day.
  • Report any incidents, absences, or feedback to management after sessions.
  • Ensure venues are left clean, tidy, and locked up properly if required.
  • Represent SEN Sports in a friendly, professional, and reliable manner.

Person specification

  • Must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable car.
  • Must be available on weekends and willing to travel to different boroughs.
  • Confident communicating with parents, children, and coaches.
  • Organised, punctual, and able to take initiative.
  • Passionate about inclusion and making a difference for children with SEND.
  • (Desirable) Experience in education, childcare, or sports coaching.

Compensation and progression

This role begins as a volunteer placement (expenses paid) while you become familiar with our clubs and operations.

After a successful trial period, the role transitions to a paid position at an hourly rate of £11.50/hr, covering time spent travelling, supervising, and overseeing sessions.
