Factorial Energy is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in our Billerica location. This person is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping and compliance with internal policies and GAAP standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial data and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses strong communication skills. The role is part of a fast-paced team that focuses on providing accurate financial information for internal and external use in a timely manner.
In this role, you will:
- Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
- Perform bank and account reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and internal reports.
- Assist with audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Help maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
We are looking for people who:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite is a plus
