Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Solar Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing solar power systems, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout all projects. Duties

• Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems according to technical specifications and safety standards
• Connect electrical wiring and components, ensuring proper functioning of solar energy systems
• Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for site preparation when necessary
• Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised tools to complete installations
• Conduct inspections and troubleshooting of existing solar installations to identify faults or inefficiencies
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely completion of projects
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during installation and maintenance activities
• Assist in site preparation, including trenching and foundation work where required

Experience

• Proven experience as an Electrician specialising in solar or renewable energy systems is preferred
• Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Familiarity with excavator operation is advantageous but not mandatory
• Electrical experience including wiring, circuit design, and system troubleshooting is essential
• Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work and construction sites
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals

This role requires a proactive approach with a focus on safety, quality workmanship, and efficiency. Candidates should possess relevant technical skills along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in diverse environments.
