Overview

We are seeking 3 dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistants to join our team in our new venture, our 4th cafe based on Meadow Bank Road, Rotherham. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services. This position requires a passion and an understanding of food preparation and safety standards.

You will be required to work 2-5 days per week, Monday to Sunday, our working hours are 7am until 2pm. (when doing Sunday dinners, you will be required to work until 4pm on a Sunday) The Full time positions will be 5 days per week. The part time positions are from 2-4 days per week.

We may require you to perform a reasonable amount of overtime in addition to your normal hours of work, depending on the needs of the business. We may also require you to work in our other cafes, Tk's Cafe based in Parkgate and Big Baps Sandwich shop based in Dinnington.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment.
  • Support the catering team by preparing food, cooking, serving, and clearing food and beverage stations.
  • Help maintain inventory levels by reporting shortages or needed supplies to management.
  • Deliver orders to customers.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in catering environments is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude towards helping others, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends is required.
  • Full clean driving license required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.21 per hour
