Job Overview:

We are expanding the team and offering an exciting opportunity for a Medical Officer, based in Glasgow, to join our healthcare team to support full rota gaps of 12 hours shifts in a private healthcare facility. Starting from January 2026. This role is ideal for a locum doctor seeking consistent hours while enjoying the benefits of a flexible, zero-hour contract. The Medical Officer will play a key role in delivering high-quality medical care and ensuring the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. This job doesn't offer certificate of sponsorship

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct medical assessments, provide diagnoses, and initiate treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines.

  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

  • Deliver ongoing inpatient care including reviews, clinical evaluations, and follow-ups.

  • Respond to medical emergencies efficiently and appropriately.

  • Monitor patients' progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary.

Requirements:

  • GMC registration with a valid full license to practice in the UK.

  • Authorized to work in the UK

-At least 1 year post-graduate experience and at least 6 months UK clinical experience.

  • Certification in Advanced Life Support (ALS) or equivalent.

  • Must be based locally in Glasgow or the surrounding area.

  • Willingness to work flexible, long shifts including weekends.

  • Maintenance of annual GMC appraisal and revalidation requirements.
