An inclusive Primary School in the BS24 area of North Somerset is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their energetic and friendly Nursery team.

This school adapted their curriculum to provide learning opportunities to children individually. This comes in the form of hands-on experience, trips and visitors to enhance children's understanding and broaden their knowledge of the world around them.

The Role

This is a Full-Time opportunity for someone with experience of working within an EYFS setting. 

As a successful candidate, you will be joining the Nursery class, working closely with the Class Teacher to support small activities inside and outside of the classroom.

The school is looking for a candidate who is creative and patient, working with small groups and individual pupils to support their learning and development at their own pace.

You will be expected to:

  • Have experience working with children
  • Have knowledge of EYFS settings. 
  • Be patient, creative and energetic.
  • Be willing to learn and develop professionally.
  • Be flexible and use your own initiative when supporting children.
  • Work collaboratively with the Class Teacher and other EYFS staff.
  • Communicate clearly the development and progression of the child's ability.
