Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Night Porter to join our team, working 40 hours per week shifts on alternating pattern. The Night Porter will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our premises, ensuring a welcoming environment for both guests and staff. This position requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent attention to detail. Staff accommodation available subject to terms and conditions.

Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, and restrooms and function rooms
  • Assist with the movement of furniture and equipment as needed for events or maintenance.
  • Collect and dispose of waste in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are well-stocked and maintained.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Provide assistance to guests and staff as required, ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Support other departments during peak times or special events as directed.
  • Check - in and Check outs of hotel guests - taking payments
  • Serving guests late night drinks- taking payments
  • Setting up be breakfast in the morning
  • Plus any extended duties

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to assist others.
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift moderate weights as required.

This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work and are committed to maintaining high standards of service within our establishment.

Online training to be completed

Hours - 11pm to 7am

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: From £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
